A dazzling and magical middle-grade collaboration centering on the students of Magisterium – an academy for those with propensity towards magic. In this first book, a new student comes to the Magisterium against his will.

Upon reading the blurb, I thought “like Hogwarts?” I was skeptical when I started this. I miss the Harry Potter world.

And then Callum was tested. I was like “in Hogwarts, you’re sorted”. Then Alastair, Callum’s father wants him to fail the test so he won’t enter Magisterium. How dare him?! I would totally do my best to enter Magisterium. This weirdly reminds me of The Magicians. You know, when the aspirants are being tested if they’re worthy to learn magic. I’m still waiting for my Hogwarts letter by the way.

Unfortunately for father Alastair, Master Rufus (Dumbledore counterpart) chose Callum to be his apprentice. Then started Callum’s journey on a magical world where he barely knows anything. Callum’s father just told him: 1. Magic is bad. 2. The Masters are bad. 3. You’ll get killed in Magisterium.

Callum is sarcastic and mostly confused (because of Alastair) and somewhat of an outcast. It’s like the Golden Trio with Callum, Aaron and Tamara.

No spells, more on elemental magic. With beings unheard of. I love Havoc!❤ It was an amazing read. I didn’t notice the time while reading this.

It was a magical journey, the twist was NOOOOOO! I didn’t expect that. Lol.

If you want a world of magic in a school setting, this is the book for you.❤
